Straight Headwall Type B

The Straight Headwall Type B is used at the end of the pipe. This structure is typically on the side of a road, in a desilting basin, or anywhere a pipe starts or ends that is not in conjustion with another structure type. It is used to prevent erosion around pipe openings. The Type B has no reinforcing steel and is thicker at the bottom than the top. With this structure, the larger the pipe diameter the thicker the wall.
